1. Privacy notice
Nature's Way Mobile Massage takes the privacy and security of your personal information seriously. This notice explains what is collected, why, and your rights. The business is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration reference C2021353.
What is collected. To book and carry out treatments: your name, phone number, the address where treatment takes place, and your messages. Before your first treatment, a short consultation also records relevant health information, your treatment goals, and any conditions that may affect the massage.
Why it is collected. To arrange and provide your treatment safely (performance of a contract), to keep the treatment records the business's insurance requires (legitimate interests and legal obligation), and — only with your explicit consent — to record health details needed to treat you safely.
How long it is kept. Treatment and consultation records are kept for at least 7 years after your last treatment, as required by the business's public liability insurance (for clients under 18, at least 7 years after they turn 18). Routine booking messages are not kept longer than necessary.
Who it is shared with. No one, except where the law requires it or the insurer requires it in the event of a claim. Your details are never sold and never used for marketing without your consent. Nature's Way may sometimes ask to share photos, comments or reviews on its website and social media — only ever with your agreement first.
Messaging. Bookings are taken over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Messages you send are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
Your rights. You can ask to see the information held about you, ask for corrections, ask for deletion (where insurance record-keeping rules allow), and withdraw consent at any time. Contact natureswaymobilemassage@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
2. Cookies & visitor numbers
This website sets no cookies. Nothing is stored on your device, nothing is read from it, and there is no advertising and no tracking of you across other websites. That is why you are not asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
No third-party services are used at all. The fonts are served from this website itself, so your browser makes no request to Google or anyone else when the page loads.
Visitor numbers. Page views are counted by the company that hosts this website, from its own server records — the same records any web server keeps in order to send you a page. There is no code running in your browser to do this. What is recorded is the page requested, roughly where in the world the request came from, the type of browser or device, the website you arrived from if any, and your IP address. It is used only to see which pages people find useful, and nothing in it identifies you by name.
An IP address counts as personal information under UK data protection law even when no name is attached, so for completeness: this is processed on the basis of legitimate interests — understanding how the site is used so it can be improved — and it is not shared with advertisers or sold to anyone. You can object at any time using the contact details in the privacy notice above.
If this ever changes — if a service is added that does store something on your device — this page will be updated first and your consent asked for where the law requires it.
3. Treatment terms & disclaimer
The short version: massage here is for relaxation and easing muscular tension. It is not medical care, and honest health information from you is what keeps it safe.
Not medical treatment. Pauline is a qualified massage therapist, not a doctor, chiropractor or physiotherapist. Holistic massage is intended to relieve muscular tension and promote relaxation — it does not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions, chronic pain or structural injuries, and it is not a substitute for medical advice. If you have a health concern, see your GP.
Your part. You must tell your therapist about all known medical conditions before your session, and speak up immediately if any technique causes discomfort or pain. Please consult your GP or health professional if you feel a medical condition may prevent treatment — the full details are in the treatment information documents on the downloads section. Withholding relevant health information is at your own risk.
Consultation. Every first appointment starts with a short consultation covering health screening, expectations and goals, with a chance to update it at later visits. A record of each treatment is kept (see Privacy above).
During treatment. Treatments are fully clothed (a t-shirt is ideal) and oil-free unless you request and provide your own oils. Treatment involves close body contact as described in the treatment information documents. If any area or technique is uncomfortable or unwelcome, say so and the treatment will be adapted.
Right to adapt, decline or end a treatment. Pauline may decline or stop a treatment where it would be unsafe (for example undisclosed contra-indications, or a client under the influence of alcohol or drugs), where the space isn't suitable, or in the event of inappropriate behaviour. Treatments ended for inappropriate behaviour are charged in full. To be equally clear the other way: you can pause or stop your treatment at any time, no reason needed.
Under-18s. Clients under 18 are treated only with a parent or guardian's written consent and with the parent or guardian present throughout.
Environment and weather. The treatment space is chosen by you and needs to be safe, level, reasonably quiet and free of hazards, with animals secured and children supervised. Outdoor treatments are weather-dependent — please have an indoor backup. If no suitable space is available on arrival, the treatment may not be able to go ahead and may be charged as a late cancellation.
After treatment. Mild, short-lived reactions (tiredness, thirst, a slight headache) are normal and usually pass within a day or two; aftercare advice is given at your appointment. If anything concerns you, contact Pauline — and for anything urgent, seek medical help.
Liability. Nature's Way Mobile Massage holds public liability insurance provided by ABT, underwritten by Towergate Insurance. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Beyond that, liability for losses that were not foreseeable, or that arise from information you did not disclose, is excluded.
4. Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a late fee, which is equal to 50% of the scheduled service.
If Pauline ever has to cancel — illness, emergency, or unsafe travel conditions — you'll be told as soon as possible and offered the next available slot, with nothing to pay for the cancelled visit.
5. Booking & safety policy
Because this is a mobile service into private homes and workplaces, a few simple checks protect both you and your therapist:
- First bookings are confirmed on WhatsApp with your full name, the treatment address and a contact phone number before Pauline sets off. Bookings without these details can't be confirmed.
- A short call may be arranged before a first visit — it's the quickest way to run through the consultation basics and answer questions.
- Workplace and event bookings are confirmed with a named contact person at the venue.
- Lone-worker practice: as standard, Pauline's whereabouts and appointment times are known to a nominated person while she is working. This is routine for mobile therapists and nothing personal.
- Respect works both ways. Pauline treats every client and their home with courtesy and professionalism, and expects the same. Inappropriate comments or behaviour end the treatment immediately, charged in full, and future bookings will be declined.
6. Gift vouchers & loyalty cards
- Gift vouchers are valid for one full treatment (Indian Head Massage or Seated Chair Massage), have no expiry date, and can be used by whoever holds them within the areas covered. They can't be exchanged for cash.
- Loyalty cards: one stamp per full-price treatment, card kept by you. Fifth treatment half price, tenth free. Lost cards can't be reconstructed, so keep it safe.
- The late-cancellation fee applies to voucher and loyalty bookings in the same way as paid bookings.
7. Accessibility
This website is built to work with a keyboard, to stay readable at larger text sizes, and to suit screen readers. Every image has a text description, and the site respects your device's reduced-motion setting. There are no pop-ups and no cookie banner to dismiss.
The treatments themselves are given seated and fully clothed, which suits many people who find getting on and off a massage couch difficult. If you have particular access needs, or would like the treatment adapted in any way, message Pauline before booking and she will talk it through with you.
If any part of this site is hard to use, please say — it will be fixed.
8. Something wrong?
If anything about your treatment or your data doesn't feel right, tell Pauline first — message 07533 911840 or email natureswaymobilemassage@gmail.com and it will be looked at properly. For insurance matters, the business's public liability cover is provided by ABT (Howden Insurance Brokers Limited); for data matters, the ICO (ico.org.uk).
